Here's the day one fertilization report:
We ended up with 10 eggs of sufficient quality for ICSI (of 27 follicles harvested) Of those, only 4 made it to the next step (i.e. normally fertilized) but there is concern with their quality. According to the Doctor, they have a "yellow" tint, which normally indicates suboptimal embryo and/or egg quality. We're "still in the game", but just barely ... day 3 report will be received at 8:00 a.m. Saturday. He might opt to transfer on day 3, but I think he wants to wait until day 5 to observe embryo development, if any of them make it that far.
We're pretty bummed, but, nice touch that the Doctor himself calls with this news ... he's a good, empathetic man. Fingers crossed, pessimistically.

Sorry to hear things aren't better, but as you say, you are in the game.
You have 4 wee buggers there fighting hard for the next few days.
Best of luck.
In an IVF board I'm on ... one woman had similar results as you. Not great quality, only 4 at this point. Doctor didn't give great odds... they transferred them all on day 3 and she is now preggos with twins. It's not time to give up yet. I will pray for you!
I'm sorry the report wasn't better and that you're bummed. Hopefully those four embryos will be strong and go all the way to day five for you.
Sending lots of positive thoughts and hopes your way.
I'm holding out lots of hope over here for you guys.
I'm sorry to hear, but you're still "in the game" so there's hope. I've never had the egg quality issues as far as appearance goes (frustrating when most of our embryos look picture perfect but carry deadly chromosomal problems) ... I think if there's development issues with the embryos, you should consider a day 3 transfer if your doctor thinks so. Hoping that your 4 embryos are fighters!
